Greater Sudbury & Manitoulin District

Sudbury is located in Northern Ontario and shares jurisdiction with the Manitoulin District. Sudbury, is the 5th largest land area in Canada and has a population of 157,857 residents as of 2021. Sudbury boasts more than 330 lakes over 25 acres within the city limits. Lake Wanapitei is the largest lake in the world completely contained within the boundaries of a single city. Sudbury is home to the Big Nickel and Dynamic Earth Tour, Lake Laurentian Conservation Area, Onaping Galls, Fairbank Provincial Park and so much more. What’s more, Manitoulin, located just a 2 hour drive from Sudbury is the world’s largest freshwater island and contains more than 100 inland lakes.
